Plan delivery routes or drop sequence
Route planning is an optimisation over addresses, windows and vehicle capacity. Done by hand it is slower and not necessarily better.
- As it is usually written
- Plan the delivery run for each van
- What you lose if it is handed over
- The driver's knowledge of which customer will not accept before nine. Routing is an optimisation; the constraints are local knowledge until written down.
- First move
- Log every route with the constraints applied, and capture every manual change as a constraint (window, access, vehicle) so the next plan carries it.
