Approve purchase orders over a threshold
Purchase approval is accountability for spend. The threshold is a rule; the sign-off above it is a person putting their name to it.
- As it is usually written
- The ops manager approves any purchase order over 5,000
- First move
- Name the threshold and the approver per band on the register, and log every approval with the approver, time and PO value, so approvals below the threshold stop waiting for a person.
